Great job Ottawa Clubs

I have been to 3 all season clubs in the last 24 hours and they were all packed (yeah Ottawa)

I was at the Tennis Centre West Ottawa last evening for our NCTA BOD meeting and Sarah the clubs manager told me that their winter memberships have been capped (full).

I coached my son at the OAC today and all 8 courts were busy (which is normal) and we are there during the day 11-4 ( basically non prime time) everyday.

I then jumped in my car and headed over to Carleton University to pick up something and all four courts were booked (again early afternoon non prime time).

This is great to see and hear because my goal has always been to see every summer court in the cities inventory being used like this. We must challenge ourselves as a tennis community to get more people involved. Associations (National,Provincial and Regional), instructors & coaches must leverage new technologies to help deliver better service and programs. In order for us to grow the sport we must all work together. Do not settle, keep looking for ways to do things better and if something is working share it (we live in a world of plenty). If we keep a growth mindset and we are willing do things right then we can be the biggest and most played sport in this region.
